Glenfarclas Family Cask 1999 (Summer Release 2024)

Glenfarclas Family Cask 1999 (Summer Release 2024)

From the heart of Speyside, Scotland, Glenfarclas is one of the few remaining independent, family-owned distilleries in the country. Founded in 1836 and still run by the Grant family, the distillery is famed for its dedication to traditional whisky-making, with an emphasis on sherry cask maturation and long-term ageing. The Family Casks collection, launched in 2007, offers rare single-cask releases, each representing a unique vintage from the distillery’s extensive reserves.

Wine Description
The whisky displays a deep amber hue, offering aromas of dried fruits, polished oak, toffee, and a delicate spice. On the palate, layers of sultanas, roasted nuts, honeyed malt, and hints of orange zest unfold, supported by soft tannins and a refined oak influence.

Food Pairing
An excellent match for roast duck with orange glaze, venison in a red wine reduction, or aged Gouda. This pairing highlights the whisky’s depth and character.
