The 2022 vintage of Vieux ChĂąteau Certan is a blend of 80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Deep garnet-purple in colour, it opens with captivating aromas of black cherries, violets, cigar box, and crushed stones. The palate is rich and layered, revealing notes of dark plum, cassis, graphite, and subtle spice, all framed by polished tannins and vibrant acidity. Full-bodied yet refined, the wine exhibits a harmonious balance of power and finesse, with a persistent, mineral-laced finish.
