Campo di Sasso Insoglio del Cinghiale 2023

Campo di Sasso Insoglio del Cinghiale 2023

Tenuta di Biserno, established in 2001 by brothers Lodovico and Piero Antinori, is situated in Bibbona, within Tuscany's coastal Maremma region. The estate is renowned for its dedication to crafting exceptional wines that embody the unique terroir of the Upper Maremma.

Wine Description

Insoglio del Cinghiale is a vibrant red blend primarily composed of Syrah, complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot. In the glass, it displays a deep purplish-red hue with violet reflections. The nose reveals an intricate bouquet of cherries and sour cherries, interwoven with elegant peppery and woody spices, and subtle hints of rosemary and myrtle, characteristic of the Mediterranean maquis. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, supported by balanced acidity that enhances its juiciness. The wine is medium-bodied with well-integrated tannins, leading to a persistent finish.

Food Pairing

This wine pairs excellently with game dishes such as roast pheasant or rich game stews. When slightly chilled, it complements summer picnics and barbecues, enhancing the wine's depth and character.
