Raen Pinot Noir Royal St. Robert 2023

Raen Pinot Noir Royal St. Robert 2023

The Royal St. Robert bottling is a dedication to the Mondavi brothers' grandfather, Robert Mondavi, a significant figure in Napa Valley's history. Raen (which stands for Rejuvenating Agriculture Environment Naturally) winery was founded in 2013 by brothers Carlo and Dante Mondavi with a vision to craft world-class Pinot Noir from the remote, cool, and rugged western hills of the Sonoma Coast.

Wine Description

On the nose, expect captivating aromas of crushed wild berries, black cherries, rose petals, and coastal moss, evolving into black tea, bergamot, forest floor, and delicate floral notes. Additional notes include blood orange, cola, redwood forest, rosemary, and wild mushroom flavours.

The palate is medium-bodied and taut, showing a silky texture and vibrant clarity. Flavours include red cherry, raspberry plum, blood orange marmalade, black cherry, dried raspberry, and pomegranate. Savoury herbs and exotic spice box notes intertwine with the fruit core, all supported by fine-grained tannins and a firm backbone of crunchy acidity.
