Quilt Chardonnay 2023

Quilt wines is the creation of fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker Joseph Wagner. Wagner’s winemaking philosophy for Quilt is to 'layer cool and moderate climate vineyards' from across the Napa Valley to create a balanced, yet classic style, allowing the 'fruitful nature of the patchwork' to shine.

Wine Description

This is a varietal wine made from 100% Chardonnay grapes. The Quilt Chardonnay is typically a medium-bodied wine. On the nose, it offers rich notes of butterscotch cream, pecan, and toasted wheat bread. The palate is round bodied and luscious, with flavours of baked apple, pineapple-mango cream, buttered toast, salty popcorn, and lemon curd, alongside nectarine and cantaloupe. Stylistically, it's described as a complex and well-balanced Napa Valley Chardonnay with a smooth, creamy finish.

Food Pairing

Pair it with Manchego and Parmesan cheeses, croquettas de queso (cheese croquettes), chicken wings, or creamy pasta dishes like mushroom risotto.
