Le Grappin Chardonnay Macon Villages Blanc

Le Grappin Chardonnay Macon Villages Blanc

From France’s Burgundy region, in the Mâconnais subregion, this Chardonnay is crafted by Le Grappin, founded in 2011 by Andrew and Emma Nielsen. The winery focuses on uncovering exceptional, often overlooked vineyard sites and producing wines with minimal intervention. Sourcing from cool slopes above the village of Azé, the fruit benefits from clay-limestone soils and a microclimate that preserves freshness and vibrancy.

Wine Description
A pale lemon-gold in the glass, this wine opens with bright aromas of apple, pear, and peach, layered with hints of citrus, melon, and a subtle mineral undertone. On the palate, it is fresh and lively, offering flavours of ripe orchard fruit, tropical passion fruit, and lemon zest, supported by gentle notes of butter, toast, and vanilla from lees ageing. Medium-bodied with a creamy texture, it delivers balanced acidity and a lingering, elegant finish.

Food Pairing
Ideal with roast chicken, creamy pasta dishes, grilled vegetables, or a classic Caesar salad. This pairing highlights the wine’s depth and character.
