The La Rioja Alta Áster Crianza 2020 presents a deep crimson colour with a bright garnet rim. The sensory profile is complex and well-defined, featuring an aromatic nose of blackcurrants, blackberries, and ripe plums, layered with sophisticated notes of sweet spices, fine herbs, mocha, and liquorice. On the palate, the wine is powerful and vibrant, showcasing smooth fruit expression with hints of spice and a balanced acidity. It is characterized by the mineral notes of its terroir, leading to a structured and persistent finish. This 100% Tinta del País has an ABV of 14.5% and was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels (75% new), following malolactic fermentation in barrels with weekly lees stirring for two months.
