Domaine Clavel Copa Santa Red Wine 2015

The nose feels equally dense with bold, concentrated and rather sweet aromas of blueberries, ripe blackberries, some strawberries, a little bit of peppery spice, a hint of inky character and a touch of jammy red fruits. The wine is full-bodied, concentrated and rather powerful on the palate, with flavours of very ripe dark berries, blackcurrants, brambly blackberries, some bitter stony minerality and a hint of inky character. The wine is quite structured with moderately grippy tannins and a rather high acidity, contributing to the wine's chewy texture.
