Contra Soarda Breganze Vespaiolo 2024

Contra Soarda Breganze Vespaiolo 2024

Contrà Soarda, which translates to 'hamlet on the slope', was established by Mirco and Gloria Gottardi in 1999, fulfilling a dream built on their family's century-long connection to the land through their restaurant business. Located on the mineral-rich volcanic hillsides at the foot of the Asiago plateau, the estate is committed to organic viticulture and enhancing their unique terroir by cultivating indigenous varieties like Vespaiolo.

Wine Description

The wine is a varietal expression of 100% Vespaiolo. It is fermented cool and slow in stainless steel to preserve its fresh character. The sensory profile offers vibrant and fresh aromas of Meyer lemon, tangelo, pineapple, and honeysuckle, with subtle hints of lime leaf. On the palate, the wine is bright and full-bodied, with a texture of mixed citrus oils leading to flavours of lemon, pear, and tart apricot.

Accolades

  • 'Wine Enthusiast' – 91 points

Food Pairing

Its pronounced acidity makes it a natural partner  for a platter of smoked meats and cheeses or cacio e pepe pasta.
