Collard Picard Prestige Brut (NV)
The Prestige Cuvee is made by Olivier Collard and his wife Caroline Picard in the Marne Valley. This is predominantely grand cru Chardonnay with an equal blend of premier cru Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. It is matured in 700 litre foudres for 15 months and aged for a further three years in bottle before disgorgement.Â
The result is exquisite, with notes of melon and warm brioche. Lovely richness on the palate followed by ripe citrus and apple characters, with a hint of honey on the finish.
